Creative thinking needs to be an intention

Creative thinking needs to be an intention. It is true that occasionally a chance coming-together of effects leads to a great creative idea. If you want to wait for those rather rare occasions, that is your choice. If you prefer to be able to use creative thinking on demand, then there does have to be an attitude.

There are different parts to the creative attitude. The first part is that creative thinking and new ideas are valuable. This includes the understanding that information by itself is often not enough. There must also be the belief that creative thinking is a skill that will be acquired and used.

Then there is confidence, which is very important for creative thinking. In mathematics each step leads to the next step with certainty. With creative thinking, there is always some uncertainty. You cannot guarantee that a great idea will result. Confidence comes from past success. Confidence also comes from skill in using the lateral thinking tools. You know that you can use the tools effectively. You may not be able to guarantee a great result, but you can significantly increase your chances of getting useful new ideas.

Focus is also part of the attitude. There is a willingness to focus on existing concepts and to believe that there may be a better way to do things. There is a willing-ness to formulate desires and then to work towards making them happen.

Perseverance ! ! !

In Creative thinking there is always uncertainty unlike skills there at every step we move towars certainty. I feel intension of creativity is to undersatnd the uncertainty beyond already known or familiar certainties. then there may be possible to arrive at new or alterantive certainties of the solutions which may be unknown by deligant negation of Known solutions under dynamically changing conditions.
Intension of creativity is to undersatnd uncertainty in great details with out expecting quick and final solution which can replace existing solution is indeed creative perseverance ! ! !
