Honda Management

Honda Management

Honda management has successfully established an Eastern-style corporate culture into its organisation.

Typical of the Honda culture and, indeed, the Honda management style is the decision taken some years ago by the management of Honda to locate themselves in the middle of the headquarters building rather than the traditional practice of occupying the top floor, as this allowed them to remain more in touch with their employees.

The seeds of Honda success were sown by the company's founder, Soichiro Honda, who was responsible for the Honda business strategy of the past and also set the tone for the Honda corporate strategy of the future. He was affectionately known as 'Mr Honda' and was well known for his eccentric management style.

See the article below for more on the corporate strategy of Honda.
