The Ikea business strategy has been so effective that sales multiplied over tenfold in less than 20 years.

However, Ikea management style in the past has been unconventional. According to Business Week, the company's founder Ignvar Kamprad never used market research for his business development. Instead, Ikea operational strategy relied on the boss's instinct.
