Wal-Mart Management

Wal-Mart Management

Walmart management, according to the 2008 Fortune 500, oversees the world's biggest corporation by revenue. The driving force of the management of Walmart in the past was Sam Walton, who founded the company in 1962.

Walmart management style under Walton was contrarian and original. As part of Walmart management control, Walton used to fly from store to store making personal visits.

The management at Walmart were advised by Walton to 'break all the rules' and an example of management and leadership at Walmart was that shop assistants (and in fact all staff ) were referred to as 'associates'.
